Vacation time

Randy, Jenn and I got the opportunity to go and visit Matt, Amelia and the boys this summer. We packed as much as we could into the 7 days we were there. We got to visit Busch Gardens, Virginia Beach, the White of the South, Williamsburg, and also shopping. They have the best shopping mall. It was fun to visit with family and learn what the boys are doing. We also got beat by Amelia at games, one day we will have to have a rematch.
It was also great to see their new home. Amelia decorates so well I should hire her. It was great to be in Virginia.  When we got back we have jumped right in to med issues, but this time it is me. Actually tomorrow I have surgery to remove a tumor on my pituitary, the doctor seems to act like this is routine for him. He says that if I feel up to it I can return to work as long as I don't lift anything.

New Job for Randy

Boy have I fallen behind. We have had a interesting summer. First Randy got a job as a principal at a charter school in Jerome. The Board has been real easy to work for and he is excited to start this new school. It has been a lot of work getting this school off the ground, but it looks like it could be a good year.

Surviving

Time seems to get away from me when it comes to this blog. I will post pictures a little later. We right now are just trying to survive. With Jennifer it is a question every day on how much she will be able to do. The end of January the Doctor had a pic line put into Jennifer's arm so we could give her IVs at home. She had been going in to the Doctors office about every week getting IVs and he wanted her to receive them  every other day. It was nerve wrecking to watch them insert this tube into her veins and make sure it was not touching her heart.  Jennifer goes to the Mayo Clinic  on March 22 and will stay the week there. We are hoping that they can find out what is causing her to not to hold any food down.

Winter has come

Today we are out of school for snow!! Actually I am hoping this settles down tomorrow or we will be having Thanksgiving with only those living close. It has snowed or blew or both since last night. There is a drift in the backyard about 4 feet tall. It is 2 feet taller than the porch. the dogs have decided they prefer to hibernate inside, I am sure Guapo will only go out when forced. The cats have decided if the door opens they will make a dash for it and see what happens, so far they have been kicked out 3 times. You would think they would learn. Someone needs to educate them on what happened to Fubar when he tried that. The humans that live here are staying warm and staying inside.  I really want to get to a hair appointment that I have at 1:30 hopefully the hair stylist will make it as well. Hope Everyone has a great Thanksgiving!! And the roads will be clear for black Friday..

Halloween delights

This year we were able to have three grand kids visit us for trick or treating  which was a fun treat. Elisa and Shayne came home so they went trick or treating with Heather, Kyle and boys. The funny part was that Wesley was saying how heavy his candy bucket was. So when Aunt Jenn looked in it to see why, she found that Wesley had put the ball to the car hitch in his bucket. Wesley had his Dad carry that trick or treating bucket all night because it was heavy. Shane and Jonathan were real interested in the candy bucket but had no idea the fun stuff that was in it. We gave Shayne a sucker that he really enjoyed and ate the whole sucker.

FAMILY FUN

This year we had Matt's family come and visit for a week and we tried to get as much fun as you can into one week. We camped, played games took family pictures, worked with beads, and anything else we could fit in the only thing we didn't get done, was go see the twilight sequel. I still haven't been to see it yet. I sure enjoyed my time with everyone here. On the fourth we had everyone here except Don who was fighting fires in New Mexico, but for 20 people that was pretty good.

Camping done right

After the fourth we decide to go camping. I know it was a chance of mishaps happening, but we actually had lots of fun, not a lot of sleeping the babies decided it was to cold. We discovered that Jack loves to roast marshmallows, but prefers someone else to eat them. Stephen loved to roast them just right. All the kids enjoyed a story by Aunt Amelia.

Family reunion cont.

After golf and the parade we all got together for food and fun. While the turkey is frying everyone decided to play games. The whiffle ball game was fun for everyone weather you watched or played. I did notice that Matt and Stephen both stick out their tongues while playing.

Family Reunion Continued

Family Reunion

It has become the Reddington tradition to gather on the Fourth of July. The women take the children to the parade while the men hit the golf course. Here is the one side of the tradition the men never have pictures because they are busy playing golf.
