School is back in swing. Jennifer tried out for the volleyball team and made the jv team. On the first practice she took a dive and hyper-extended her forearm. After a visit to the doctor the next day, she no longer can play volleyball. Apparently if you are really sick for as long as she has been, your tendons, muscles and bones are not as strong as they should be. So Jennifer is running a little with the cross country team and hoping to build up her muscles for basketball season. We shall see. She goes into the doctor on the 18th of September to see how her diet has been doing. She feels pretty good most days, but if she eats something she is not supposed to she gets a headache right away.

Last Friday Jennifer had a court date, because she was fighting a speeding ticket, so Wesley and I went with her. While we were waiting for the court to begin Wesley walked around and shook everyone's hand, it was funny. Maybe he will grow up to be a politician. By the way the officer was sick and didn't make court so her case was dismissed. She has learned the lesson to avoid the speed trap in Heyburn.

Dad's cross country team keeps growing. I think this year he actually has a full girls and boys teams. I think that is a first for Minico in the last 5 years. His first meet will be at Bishop Kelly in Boise. It will be started during the 2 quarter of the football game and the runners will finish during half time with the last 300 yards being on the track around the football field. Bishop Kelly has done this before so it will be interesting. The football game that will be going on is between Minico and Bishop Kelly. The runners are a little nervous to having spectators.

New Addition

We have a new addition to the family. His name is Prince Caspian of Reddington. We call him Caspian. He is a pure bred shih tzu. He is doing really good for a puppy, hardly any accidents. Rajah is not so pleased with him and Guapo just ignores him. Caspian really enjoys it when I bring him downstairs to wake up Jennifer, he likes to chew on her ears and hair.

Caspian is actually Jennifer's as a reward for doing so well on her new life style change. The Doctor is really thrilled with the progress she has made and is hoping in two months to being able to add a few foods back in to her diet. She had a heart test done and it showed her heart is at a 32 years old and her arteries are at a 38 years old. He is hoping to be able to turn this around with some different medication.

Jennifer's Birthday

Because of basketball camp Jennifer got her birthday in bits and pieces. On her birthday she was at basketball camp, so with the Doctor's permission she got to eat cake. She found out a few hours later that cake will give you a headache if you haven't eaten it in awhile. Sisters Elisa, Cailtin and Heather came over on the following Monday to wish her happy birthday.

Wesley thought there should be water and sand at a birthday party.
Crystal, Danny and Hallie came down and floated the river with her on the 4th of July.
After all the men came home from the golf course, ( they scheduled their tee time for just before the parade. We are thinking they did that on purpose.) Matthew was missed at golf, but the guys will keep practicing for the time Matthew is here. Amelia and the boys were missed at the parade. Jennifer would have liked having help picking up candy. It seems if you are sitting on the curb with a very pregnant lady and two small children they throw candy at you constantly. Jennifer couldn't eat it so we put it in Heather's purse for her to find later.

This is the rest of the litter, Mink on the left and Tigger on the right.

This is Dino. She also doesn't have a tail and she
tends to run and hide.
For the time being we have some visitors at our house.
This is Cream on the left and Bob on the right. Her
name is Bob because she has no tail.
